People ask me what is the inspiration for the word bubbles on my ceramics. Sometimes the answers are funny or profound, sometimes they just reflect my state of mind which in this case was feeling brain dead.

This lidded vessel was handmade with a pale stoneware and handpainted with underglaze to create the four faces, hair and word bubbles. After bisque firing, I applied a beautiful orange glaze to the interior and clear glaze on the exterior. Next the vessel was fired to cone 6. Lastly I applied 22k gold luster hearts followed by a third and final firing.

The piece measures approximately 4.25” tall with lid and 3” without.
