This mini vase shows a lady in a fancy pink and gold dress saying to herself, “oh boy”.
I handbuilt this minature vase with porcelain. Once I formed the shape and allowed it to dry, I handpainted with underglaze to create our fancy lady. After she was bisque fired, I applied a purple crystal glaze on the inside and a clear on the outside, followed by a second firing to cone 6. Lastly, I added 22k gold luster patterning to her dress followed by a third and final firing.
Oh Boy Mini Vase is approximately 3.5” tall. She is signed on the bottom.
