On May 23rd, I will be leading a new workshop at The Portland Art Museum’s PAM CUT, called Moving Pictures // Zines, Artist Books, & Visual Storytelling. This will be a hands-on workshop for young artists ages 11–14, where we will explore the creative possibilities of bookmaking from storyboarding ideas, designing memorable characters, and shaping a compelling visual narrative. Each participant will be able to design and create one-of-a-kind artist books from start to finish and leave with skills to continue telling their own stories.
