These tumblers were slip cast with a blend of red stoneware and porcelain making them lightweight and pleasant to hold. The outside design was handpainted with underglaze before being bisque fired.

The inside has a speckle glaze while the outside is a clear glaze. When holding the tumbler you can feel how the clear glaze created a smoothness over the painted areas and the texture of the clay comes through in the unpainted areas. After glaze firing I added 22k gold luster to pattern the cat and snake followed by a third and final firing.

This tumbler holds 8ozs and is signed on the bottom.
