Learn how to make your own Candle Creature with Erika Rier over the course of three weekly classes in her home ceramic studio.

Agenda:
Week 1: Using pinch and coil techniques, build one creature of whatever size you can make in allotted time (usually between 9-12” tall)
Week 2: Decorate creatures with underglaze.
Depending on complexity of design, session may not require the full allotted time.
Week 3: Add additional decorations and details with colorful and clear glazes.

Working with tinted clay, create monster using multiple handbuilding techniques.
Add attachments such as horns and wings to make your monster one of a kind.
Create simple decorations on your monster with black underglaze.

You can make your ceramics electric when you learn how to make your own lamp! Over the course of four consecutive Thursdays, receive hands on learning on how to make your very own, fully functional, ceramic lamp.

Think of it as paint your own pottery except with information and the least generic greenware you can image!
