Make your very own character vessel with Erika Rier over the course of two private lessons in her home ceramic studio.

Lessons run on Sundays, November 8th and 15th, 2025. Choose from three time slots, morning, afternoon, and evening.

Class size up to 4 people (See options to add friends below below)

Class Details:

• Make your own character vessel with hands on learning.

• Week 1: Slab build vessels with optional attachments (i.e. handles, lids, etc).

  • Can make 2 - 3 vessels dependent on size.

• Week 2: Decorate vessels with underglaze.

  • Depending on complexity of design, session may not require the full allotted time.

  • Private Lessons do not include gold lustering.

• Pieces will be available for pickup one month after class.

Pricing: Includes instruction, materials, application of clear glaze to student pieces, and firing.

• Base price for 1 student: $450

• Share the cost by adding up to three friends for $45 per extra student (see instruction below for adding friends).

  • Groups must register for workshop as single purchase.

Location: Classes hosted in my home studio in Portland, Oregon’s Foster Powell neighborhood. Exact address provided via email.
