We all want to blossom but once we do, we must continue to tend to ourselves as the journey doesn’t stop. This self portrait of a vase (hence the glasses) will give you this encouragement, beauty, and silliness you’ll need to always be tending to what you grow.

This vase was handmade with a pale stoneware and handpainted with underglaze to create the face, hair and word bubble. After bisque firing, I applied a uniquely beautiful glaze to the interior and clear glaze on the exterior. Next the planter was fired to cone 6. Lastly I applied 22k gold luster to the crown, glasses, and freckles, followed by a third and final firing.

The piece measures approximately 6” tall and is signed on the bottom.
