Learn how to make your own ceramic play set with artist Erika Rier over the course of four weekly classes in her home ceramic studio. No prior clay experience necessary.

Class Details:

• Learn to make your own ceramic play set

• Week 1: Learn to slab build a house for your play set

• Week 2: Create creatures and objects to reside in your play set’s house using simple pinch techniques.

• Week 3: Paint your play set with underglaze to add color, pattern, and details.

  • Depending on complexity of design, session may not require the full allotted time.

• Week 4: Add additional decorations and details with different glazes.

  • Depending on complexity of design, session may not require the full allotted time.

• Workshop does not include gold lustering.

• Pieces will be available for pickup approximately one month after class.

Pricing: Includes instruction, materials, and firing.

Class Policies:

• Lessons cannot be rescheduled or refunded, but with seven day notice, will receive credit that can be applied to future classes and / or online shop.

  • Classes are transferable with prior approval.

• Classes begin promptly on time. Lessons cannot be extended and if arriving late will miss important instructions and work time.
