Make your own little fire pit creature with Erika Rier in her home studio! Use your piece for decoration or place on a safe surface and build a fire.

Date: Saturdays, June 6th and June 13th 2026

Time: 10am - 3pm (class will take short lunch break, lunch not provided)

Location: Classes hosted in my home studio in Portland, Oregon’s Foster Powell neighborhood. Exact address provided via email.

Class size up to 4 people

Class Details:

• Week 1: Coil-build a small ceramic fire creature with hands on learning.

• Week 2: Decorate your fit pit creature with underglaze.

  • Depending on complexity of design, session may not require the full allotted time.

  • Workshop does not include gold lustering.

• Finished pieces with be clear glazed and fired by Erika.

• Pieces will be available for pickup approximately one month after class.

Pricing: Includes instruction, materials, application of clear glaze to student pieces, and firing.

Class Policies:

• There are no refunds for student canceled lessons.

• Lessons cannot be rescheduled or refunded, but with seven day notice, will receive credit that can be applied to future classes and / or online shop.

  • Classes are transferable with prior approval.

• Please arrive on time. Lessons cannot be extended. If arriving more than 30 minutes late, lesson will be canceled without refund.
