This ring dish shows a fancy lady with voluminous curls and piercing red eyes. Painting all those curls wasn’t the easiest but seeing how she came out of the kiln made it all worth the effort!

This little ring dish is handmade from a rolled slab of my favorite speckled pink stoneware. After forming the shape, I use colorful underglaze to create this fancy lady and all her curls. I then bisque fired her followed by applying clear glaze on the front. Finally she was put back into the kiln and fired to cone 6.

This little ring dish measure approximately 4.5” x 3”, and is signed on the back.
