Each one of these comic ring dishes shows a a cat sitting on the head of a fancy lady saying one of the many hilarious, absurd, and profound things I have overheard over the course of my hilarious, absurd, and profound existence.
Each ring dish is handmade from rolled slabs. After forming the shape, I use colorful underglaze to create the cat, lady, and word bubbles. They are then bisque fired, glazed, and fired a second time to cone 6. Lastly I adorned each one with 22k gold luster to add various details to their faces, hair, and dresses, before a third and final firing.
Each dish measures approximately 6” x 4.” and is signed on the bottom. As each one is hand formed, sizes will vary slightly.
