Most people know the value of journaling to process emotions and gain clarity so they can focus on the things that matter. Using comic offers a unique format for people to process complicated situations and feelings in a format that can lighten and bring humor to release tension. An additional benefit of comics for emotional processing is it gives you a format you can share with others to receving validation, feedback or start meaningful conversations.
In this class we will work through four stages of developing your own personal comic to support processing emotions and removing mental blocks.
Date: THURSDAYS, March 26th - April 16th, 2026
Time: 6pm - 9pm
Location: Classes hosted in my home studio in Portland, Oregon’s Foster Powell neighborhood. Exact address provided via email.

Class Details:
Week 1: Goal setting, calm reflective sketching.
Week 2: Character development with timed exercises.
Week 3: Solidifying characters for inner & outer dialogue.
Week 4: Dialog: How to reduce to the essence of meaning.

Standard class price $250
Optional material pack add-on for $30.

Class Policies:
Lessons cannot be rescheduled or refunded, but with seven day notice, will receive credit that can be applied to future classes and / or online shop.
Classes are transferable with prior approval.
Classes begin promptly on time. Lessons cannot be extended and if arriving late will miss important instructions and work time.
