Drawing from my deep appreciation of Beat Poetry, I love to combine fragments of overheard conversations and reassemble them to create new meaning. Who knows where I heard these two statements but together they make one weird and creepy mug!
This mug which is part of my series, Big Hair / Big Ideas, was handmade with a pale stoneware and handpainted with underglaze. After bisque firing, I added a purple glaze to the inside and clear to the outside. Once it was through the glaze kiln, I applied 22k gold luster details before a third and final firing.
This mug is 4.25” tall, holds approximately 12 fl oz and is signed on the bottom.
