Come spend a weekend with me where we will immerse ourselves in the process of creating handmade comics and zines in a fun and supportive setting. In this weekend intensive, I will guide you through four stages of developing your own story starting with brainstorming, moving through storyboarding, creating dummies, and beginning final layouts and writing. You will also receive a tutorial on different methods of processing images, and printing logistics. By the end of the weekend your project will be well on it’s way or even completed depending on complexity.

This workshop is also about building community. We will kick things off with a brainstorming party on Friday night where I will provide light snacks and beverages. Saturday there is an optional dinner to socialize and talk about what we have learned from the day.

Lastly, Storycraft is a great opportunity for anyone who has wanted to take one of my classes but lives outside of Portland. Come for a long weekend of making and experiencing Portland with lots of local recommendations.
