As a ceramic teacher, I love questions from my students. Whose curiosity will you nurture while sipping from this mug and pondering your answer?

This mug was handbuilt by me using a pale stoneware. After forming the vessel and attaching the handle and nose, I handpainted with underglaze to create the face, hair, and bow. The mug then went through a bisque firing before being glazed with a pink interior and clear exterior. After firing to cone 6, I added gold luster details and fired for a third and final time.

This mug is approximately 3.25” tall and holds 8 fl oz. She is signed on the bottom.
