Having a regular practice of working in a sketchbook means always having a treasure trove of ideas. So if I’m not feeling particularly inspired, I just open my book and suddenly there is this three eyed lady wearing tall boots and waving to passing fish!
I handmade this mug from porcelain. After forming the shape and allowing to dry, I painted the design with colorful underglazes. Once it was bisque fired, I added a light blue crystal glaze to the inside and clear to the outside. The mug was then put through the glaze kiln and fired to cone 6.
This mug is 3.25” tall, holds approximately 10 fl oz, and is signed on the bottom.
