These mini word bubble dishes were inspired by a series of wall plates I completed as part of my recent gallery show, CACOPHONY. The show was about daily noise which surrounds us. If we sit with the noise, let the messages filter through the chaos, we may find things we need to hear even if they are uncomfortable or even painful.

Each of these mini dishes were handmade with a plate stoneware and handpainted with underglaze. After the glaze firing I added the dot patter with 22k gold luster. Each piece is signed on the bottom.
