New Solo Show at Seattle’s University Friends Meeting!
January 7, 2014
Last Thursday I made the trek up to Seattle to hang a solo exhibit of drawings and illustrations at the University Friends Meeting. They have a lovely community space in which they host 4 artists each year after selecting them through a juried selection process. Lucky me, my work is the first to be featured this year, January-March.
The room the show is in is large and airy with floor-to-ceiling windows that look over a Japanese-inspired garden. It is a truly lovely and peaceful setting and I feel grateful to have my work hung there. The Friends themselves are very kind and sound like they have a history of doing excellent social outreach within their community.
If you’d like to see the show it is best to contact them ahead of time to see what viewing times they have available. In general, during the week, there seems to be a staffer there from 9 am-noon but I think there are other times available as well.
